The Galway Blazers foxhounds will be leading the Parade of Champions at the Royal Dublin Society Horse Show this year. The Parade will take place in the RDS Main Arena at approx. 3.35 pm on Sunday 19th August. We hope that there will be plenty of Members and Supporters there to cheer them on.

Charity Ride 2011The members of the Blazers Charity Ride Committee recently presented a cheque for 11,000 euro to the Galway Parkinsons Association, being the proceeds of this years Charity Ride and Auction. The presentation took place at Cawleys, Craughwell and as a sign of their appreciation the Galway Parkinsons Association presented Geraldine Dempsey (Charity Ride Committee Chairman) and Geraldine Gannon (Hon. Secretary Charity Ride Committee) with a luxury Hamper each.

Last year was a great sucess with over 200 riders taking part on the day followed that night by an auction. We raised 18,500 for "Voices for Galway" (Down Syndrome). We would like to thank all the riders who took part on the day and companies and individuals who donated money and contuine to do so each year. A special thanks to those people who gave up their time on the day to help out.We would not be able to organise such a great day without the generosity of the farmers and landowners who contuine to support this venture throught the years. |
